Natural Beeswax Candle

This candle is made from 100% Western Australian beeswax with a cotton wick, and it has the faint honeyed scent that pure beeswax carries on its own, without anything added to it. Some are moulded on foundation sheets, so the surface keeps the hexagon pattern of honeycomb.

Capri Copia Farm makes it on its own property in the Margaret River region, Western Australia, from wax produced by the bees the farm keeps alongside its goats. Cath, who runs the farm, also teaches beeswax candle making in on-farm workshops, and sizes run from small pillars up to large ones, with slight variation between candles because each one is handmade.

Light it on the kitchen table on a slow evening, or give one to someone who likes things made rather than bought off a shelf.
